Frequently Asked Questions
Parking There is ample street parking near the start and finish lines of the race. Metered spaces are FREE on Saturdays. Some access streets will be closed around the start and finish areas. Please allow ample time to park.
Timing Chips The Governor's Cup Road Race will be timed with the Champion Chip timing system, an automated timing and identification device. All runners must pick up their Champion Chip transmitters at the Starting Area on Race Morning.
Each participant will be assigned a chip based on bib number. The chip is fastened to your shoe before the race and will be collected by volunteers after crossing the finish line. A $30 fee will be assessed if the chip is not returned.
Finish Line Expo Please make plans to spend time visiting the vendors at the Finish Line Expo that
will be held on the Horseshoe at USC. Vendors will set up from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CMA has invited many health
and fitness related vendors to participte in this expo. Come see the exciting things they have to offer.
Also visit our Celebration Square on the Horseshoe where Columbia's Fittest Companies will be celebrating their accomplishments.
There will be live music and refreshments provided by EarthFare!

Water Stops Water stops will be at the following locations.
1 - Millwood and Devine Streets
2 - Kilbourne Baptist Church
3 - 1591 Woodlake (near Shady Lane)
4 - Southern Methodist Church (Preston and Maple Streets)
5 - USC Tennis Courts (1700 block of Blossom near Barnwell)
6 - Finish Line (Sumter and College Streets)
