Governor’s Cup Road Race Parking Information

Please see below for suggested parking lots for Race Day on May 17 for Main Street Mile and Kids Main Street Mile and May 18 for Half Marathon and 5K runners and spectators starting in Columbia.

Please note that all parking options listed below are suggested decks/garages.  

Availability will be on a first come, first served basis. We highly recommend carpooling or taking an Uber/Lyft/Taxi as well as arriving at least 45 minutes prior to your race start to alleviate race stress!

May 17 Race Start (Main Street Mile | Kids Main Street Mile): Starts and finishes at the corner of  Main and Lady Streets (29201). 

May 18 Race Start (5K  | Half Marathon): starts at 1312 Main St. heading south toward the SC State House.  The event finishes heading south on Park St. at 1110 Park Street

*Suggestion: Lady Street Deck is closest parking to starting line and Park Street Garage is closest to Finish line

Hourly rates

  • First 30 minutes $1.00
  • Second 30 minutes $1.00
  • Each additional hour $1.00 (maximum of $10.00/day)

Starting Line Blue Bike stations are located at 1339 Main Street and 1221 Main Street.
Finish Line Blue Bike station is located at 1120 Lincoln Street and a temporary station will be located next to Tin Roof at 1022 Senate Street.

To meet the City of Columbia’s unique challenges, Blue Bike is designed to promote short bike trips within core communities, where clusters of large employers, colleges, shopping, tourist destinations and residents can readily be connected.

About the Bike Share System:

Blue Bike is a public transportation system that allows users to get around Columbia in a whole new different way! The system is outfitted with 13 stations and 135 bikes in our fleet (with 1/3 of them being e-bikes or pedal assist). The bikes are equipped with a secondary lock so you can park your bike and run errands as well as a front facing basket that holds up to 45-pounds.

Bikes can be accessed via your BlueBikeSC app or your key fob. You can access the station map via the app or website. Memberships can be purchased on www.BlueBikeSC.com or via the BlueBikeSC app. Bikes can be returned to any station. Once you’ve purchased a membership, it’s as easy as locating a dock and renting a bike.

Go Pass: $2 /per 45-minute trip
Day Pass: $6 /per day. Includes unlimited 45-minute trips
Month Membership: $20 /per month. Includes unlimited 45-minute trips
Year Membership: $85 /per year. Includes unlimited 45-minute trips

*FOR ALL PASSES AND MEMBERSHIPS: Trips over 45-minutes are an additional $2 for every 30 minutes. Users can always dock their bike within the 45-minute ride time and rent again to avoid this charge and continue riding.*
